Artist Bio

About the Artist

Bryan Nash Gill was born and raised in the same rural, northwestern corner of Connecticut where he works as an artist today. Gill earned his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Tulane University in 1984 and his Masters of Fine Arts from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland four years later.

The artist is a recipient of many prestigious artist awards and honors. Gill has received two Connecticut Individual Artist Grants.  He is a permanent California Arts Council Fellow. In 2005 he received the Artist Resource Trust, from the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.

Gill has shown his sculpture, drawings and installations at many exhibitions and galleries across the United States and is represented in many corporate and private collections worldwide. One important installation to date was at the American Pavilion for the worlds fair in Aichi, Japan.

Felled trees are sliced and used for printing blocks for this special series.  Each limited edition print is unique and different from the others.
