From a third generation family of artisans, José studied in Guadalajara, Montreal and Manhattan where he is a member of the Arts Student’s League. At the age of 21, José Parra received the prestigious Jalisco Arte Joven award from the government of Mexico. In 2006 José and his paintings were the subject of a documentary aired on Televisa, Latin America’s largets television network. José Parra’s exquisite paintings reside in museums and private collections around the world.
