Cassie RyallsA graduate of Berea College, she discovered ceramics during a summer hand building class at a university near her hometown in West Virginia. Upon graduating with a degree in art and psychology, she began looking for opportunities in ceramics. This led her to Penland School of Crafts the following fall for a concentration in glaze chemistry. While at Penland, she became acquainted with Odyssey Center for the Ceramics Arts here in Asheville and recently completed a residency there. She is currently persuing post graduate studies in Florida. Her work is inspired by people-watching, conversations, faith and observations from her love of pshchology. |
